Primary Health Care Clinics

RFDS (Western Operations) is contracted by the Commonwealth Department of Health and Ageing to provide primary health care services to rural and remote communities that are situated beyond the usual health infrastructure available to most of the population.

The bulk of primary health care services directly provided or arranged by RFDS (Western Operations) are funded through this Agreement.

Services include General Practitioner (GP) and Specialist services, Primary Health Care Nurse Clinics in the Kimberley, health promotion activities and other specific projects. Services are delivered at small towns, remote Aboriginal communities, mine sites, pastoral stations and road houses.
