Every RFDS aircraft contains a customized and permanent aeromedical fitout including stretchers, patient loading system, storage, communications and medical oxygen, suction and electrical power.
Current aircraft are outfitted with either AFTS (Australian Flight Test Systems) stretchers and stretcher loading device, or the Lifeport stretcher and loading system.
